This is a question that I’m sure like most people have spent a lot of time thinking about and wondering if its even remotely possible to be psychic, what is my super power? We have all seen movies and documentaries where the common thread has been that a lifechanging event happens like a car accident where you lose consciousness for a few days or even months or you have a near death experience which activates your psychic abilities.

To those of us who have never had the luxury of near death experiences or being unconscious, I wondered if its possible to know whether you are psychic or not, so we met with a Psychic Medium Samantha Slembrook just to find out whether about this illusive question.

We met at her house which looks like a typical family home in the comfortable suburbs of the North, nothing really looked like what one would expect from a psychic medium, so there was no crystal balls, no images of ascended masters and angels simply a desk with images of flowers all around her office space. This immediately showed that psychics are normal folk just like you and me. She offered us a seat and we started with the interview.

How do you know that you are psychic?

Samantha Slembrook:

I believe we all have a psychic gift which just means that we have an innate ability to pick up stuff. Being psychic is having an awareness and sometimes you don’t even know, an example is when you feel body experiences based on someone else or anxiety in your tummy. That’s known as clairsentient, when you can feel the other persons vibration within yourself and that’s a very strong healing gift because its empathy and you can also feel what’s going with the person at the same time. This gives you strong counselling and listening skills which allows you to interpret the messages because you can feel them.

Are there are other gifts that exist?

Samantha Slembrook:

Yes of course, there are many gifts and as I earlier mentioned one gift is clairsentient where you feel energy and vibration, the other gift is clairvoyant where you see with your 3rd eye chakra that is located at the middle of your forehead, the other gift is clairaudience where you hear messages from spirit, the other gift is claircognizance where you have this deep inner knowing which sometimes people refer to as your gut feeling.

How do you work as a psychic?

Samantha Slembrook:

In my hierarchy the way that I pray or meditate, I talk to God then the arch angels which are like the managers and then the angels, I also love my fairies, elementals and dolphins, mermaids, unicorns and all the magical creatures which I honestly believe exist. The arch angels usually show up through the chiming of bells which is located outside my window. They are everywhere and can assist anyone at any time. That’s the way I work and when I pray and meditate I chat to them

How long did it take you to follow that path?

Samantha Slembrook:

For me it took a lifetime, I think I was a very depressed teenager but what I realised really early in my life is that I guess really well. I would often be able to finish peoples sentences and I am a very strong empath so U would know when my friend is bored with me and immediately realise its time to go home, I would know if I am on the phone with someone and they have stopped listening. I have had to learn to understand not only myself but also my gift.

How do you enhance or strengthen your gift

Samantha Slembrook:

When it comes to enhancing your psychic ability you have to explore and discover out, so research and find out what works for you. I like tarot cards because they are a lovely psychological tool, they are literally pieces of paper with images on them, so there is nothing deep or dark about them but when I do cards the image signify something for me which I then translate for the client. I generally like to make notes for people and then I finish with cards.
